We are searching for a a Director of Research to lead and oversee the development and execution of research projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in survey research, a keen analytical mind, and a collaborative approach to managing projects and teams. This role will involve managing research design, survey implementation, data analysis, and reporting, all while working closely with senior leadership and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of opinion research projects, ensuring methodological rigor and data quality.
• Develop and manage survey instruments, including question design and programming for online, phone, and mixed-mode methodologies.
• Oversee data collection processes and quality assurance to ensure reliable outcomes.
• Analyze survey data using advanced statistical techniques, providing clear and actionable insights to clients.
• Collaborate with company leadership to align research initiatives with client needs and organizational goals.
• Present research findings in visually compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Manage and mentor research staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging methodologies to enhance the firm’s research capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in survey research, including questionnaire design, sampling, and data analysis.
• Strong proficiency with research and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to clients or senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative team player with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
• Advanced degree in Political Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
