The last landing page we will explore today is an event landing page. Event landing pages can hold a lot of information and functions. Think of it like a digital poster or flyer you’d see for events; it needs to be eye-catching while also displaying brief essential information for the event. Whether it is for a webinar series, speaking at a conference, a charity dinner, or a rally, you'll need to inform people about the event and give them the opportunity to join. This is where an event landing page is put to use!
Tips:
- Ensure your headline grabs a visitor’s attention and clearly states the event's name and purpose.
- Brief description of what attendees can expect and the benefits from joining.
- Essential details such as the event's date, time, and location, as well as any special features or speakers to build anticipation and excitement.
“About Us” Landing Page
Yep, it is exactly what it sounds like! This type of landing page is one of the best ways to connect with your visitors on a personal level and win their trust by sharing your brand's or candidate's story/mission! You can share your origins, motivations, goals, and more, giving potential supporters a real sense of who you are. How to clean your recipient list without doing ANYTHING…
Have you ever wanted to send out routine emails without going through the trouble of setting up a whole new email and the appropriate recipient audience over & over & over again?
Well… you may have heard of Nucleus’ fun new automation series feature & this may just be the answer you’ve been looking for!
This feature allows you to select a trigger & design a whole series of emails that recipients who fall in that triggers category will receive.
Currently, some triggers we have available within Nucleus and their uses are:
- When a user subscribes
- This trigger allows us to routinely email new subscribers to our lists
- When a user has opened an email
- This trigger allows us to re-engage with users who have recently engaged with another email
Some more triggers include:
If a profile has a tag
If a user is on a list
If email is clicked
If email is converted
Signed up for an event
When an event ends

Now, I want to take some time to discuss 2 automation series that can help to improve your deliverability if used properly.
Before we jump in, I want to reiterate the importance of QUALITY > QUANTITY when it comes to our recipient email lists. Automation series’ can help us to unsubscribe unengaged or expired emails & it is key to remember that this is an advantage and not a weakness; recipients who do not engage with your emails are a waste of money and can actually hurt your deliverability.
Anyways, the two most important series you can utilize within your email marketing techniques is:
- Welcome Series
- Re-engagement Series
These 2 types of series offer very different and irreplaceable value to your marketing endeavors. Let’s review some of the functionality that they provide.
A welcome series should be used to introduce “yourself” & your mission. This is a time for you to confirm that someone intended to subscribe to your list. If they didn’t mean to, this gives them time to unsubscribe rather than complain to email serves about your messages later. This is also a great time to locate recipient interests and pre-empt them on what type of content they will be receiving & how often.
A re-engagement series should be used to locate your disinterested and expired subscriber emails. People’s interests change & so do their emails. For these reasons, it is important to check in from time to time with your less engaged emails. In many cases, people will set a series of emails that recipients who have not opened or clicked an email in a certain amount of days will go through. I usually recommend 180 days, but that can be made a longer or shorter period of time, depending on what you and your marketing team think is best.

What went wrong?
Controllable factors edition.
At the end of the day, there are many factors that we cannot predict or control when sending emails to a high volume of recipients – some examples of this includes if a server blocks you or if you land into an inbox or spam-box.
BUT… you can use “context clues” to help identify potential causes and use controllable factors to attempt to resolve.
Once you have sent your email, there are usually 3 statistics we look into to gauge our success: deliverability rate, open rate, click rate.
And the only true way to test how something will perform is to send it.
A low deliverability rate generally means that we have hit a server block & this is a less controllable factor.
This is a good time to reach out to your Campaign Nucleus team to look into ways of resolving and mitigating any blocks.
A low open rate can mean that are delivering to the server but landing more so in spam and promotional inboxes instead of our primary inboxes & this is a less controllable factor.
BUTTTT it can also mean…
Your recipients are not engaged with your subject line & this is a controllable factor.
This is a good time to make sure we are not using any offensive or triggering terms & to try testing a few different subject lines.
If you see some improvement in your open rate with the new subject lines, you can assume that your audience and the servers preferred this subject line to the other.
If our deliverability and open rate look good, we can go a step further & look into our click rate (which generally leads to ultimate conversions) to get a better idea of how our email content is performing. If we are seeing a high open rate followed by low click rates, it is generally indicative of our recipients not being engaged with the content after clicking into the email.
This is a great opportunity to test different copy & marketing techniques in your emails. If our click rate increases when we use other copy, we can assume that our recipients respond better to that type of content & should use it more moving forward to drive better conversions.
Of course, every once in a while, the stars align and we are presented with high deliverability rates, high open rates, and high click rates - & this means you have a very good email on your hands.
While the servers will never truly confirm or deny reasons for blocking your messages and placing them in spam & your recipients will likely not give you advice on marketing to them better, we can use these three statistics to help to send the best and most effective emails to our recipient list.
